"Building a reputation, not restoring one!"
Considering the COVID19 pandemic, coupled with very substancial increases in material prices that negatively impacted the construction industry, Brad Bowe, the owner, decided to take advantage of this slow-down to get some necessary orthopedic repairs, and use the down time for recovery. With the initial intentions of shutting down the business for good and retiring, the othopedic repairs have left him with a renewed spirit, and the ability to return to the contractig business with a refreshed outlook toward continued service to his many cutomers. Since our inception in 2000 as River Valley Remodeling, and now continuing as Patriot Contracting, we have always strived to improve our services and adapt to the changes in the industry, as well as adjust to the varying economic changes. We have survived through the worst of times, and we remain more committed to providing genuine, honest, and competent service to our customers. We have returned to business as Patriot Contracting LLC. Brad's eight years of patriotic service in the United States Army inspired him to rename the business as such. Our philosophy will continue to be keeping our customer happy well after the check has been written. You will not go wrong in choosing Patriot Contracting for your next project. It's an honor to serve you. Please ask us about Veterans discounts.

We know you need to find out the budget ranges so you can determine if the project is worth pursuing. We will provide you with a detailed estimate that will account for permitting, insurances, taxes, workers compensation and overhead costs. We adhere to state and local rules/codes. Due to the number of calls, the fact that we are unable to service every customer, and rising fuel costs and inflation, we do not provide free estimates. There will be a service charge to cover the above costs, and the fee depends on your project size and location. Insurance damage claim estimates require the deductible to be paid prior to us assessing the damage with the minimum charge of $1,000/. All fees are applied to the work product if we are awarded the contract and if the claim is paid. Call us with questions.
Beware of any contractor that wants you to get the required permits and deal with the inspections or offers to do work without the necessary permits. This is a BIG warning sign. If something goes wrong at some point in the future – say a house fire – and your insurance company determines that you had work done without the proper permits, they may deny your claims. Remember, without proper insurance and license, no contractor can pull the permit. Always ask for a "copy" of the insurance and license for your records, and call to verify insurance coverage.
Just because they have a truck and a ladder doesn't make them a contractor. If the price is too low, there's a reason. Here's a couple reasons for low pricing.
1. Under the table? We don’t pay our employees under the table. We pay the withholding and unemployment insurance on our employees. It’s required by law. Some low price contractors may pay their unskilled helpers under the table, therefore, their estimates and pricing is lower.
2. There is also a pretty good chance that low-priced contractor doesn’t carry any insurance or has minimal insurance. This puts all the risk on the homeowner. If they don’t carry workers compensation and someone gets hurt on your property, you’re in for a whirlwind lawsuit and at risk of losing your home.
3. Without the proper insurance and licensure, the contractor cannot obatain the building permit. Always call the city or county to verify the permit was acquired for your project, and that they have the contractors license, insurance, and credentials on file locally.
